Freaks and Geeks Behind the Scenes

Freaks and Geeks was a TV series made by Paul Feig and produced by Judd Apatow.  It aired on NBC from 1999-2000.  Unlike other works that Judd Apatow produced, Freaks and Geeks was a television show as oppose to a movie.  The series actually gained a lot of popularity before it was canceled before its second season.  They simply did not have a good platform to play it on.  The Series started James Franco, Samm Levine, Seth Rogan, Jason Segel, John Francis Daley, and Linda Cardellini.  Freeks and Geeks was one of those comedy series you could watch with the family. Fans were very upset to find it getting canceled.  It truly was a success and a failure.  Judd claims that he had a crazy idea for a character in season 2 we wish we could’ve seen.  Judd claims the show was ahead of its time.  It should’ve been on HBO, according to Judd.  Here are some behind the scene clips of Freaks and Geeks.

The 40 Year Old Virgin Movie Review

Judd Apatows The 40 Year Old Virgin is a comedy starring Steve Carrel as Andy Stitzer.  For a goofy comedy such as this one, they movie is surprisingly insightful.  Andy distracts himself from thinking about being a virgin with obsessions.  He is obsessed with action figures, video games, and collectibles.  Andy works at an electronic super store, where he is surrounded by employees who are constantly bantering about sex.  One day during a poker game, Andy’s co Image result for the 40 year old virginworkers realize how uncomfortable and naive he is on the topic.  Once they found out he was a virgin, they made it their mission to end his 40 year old drought.  Although Andy would rather just sit at home with his action figures, his new friends don’t let him.  His friends set him up in a singles bar, give him advice, try speed dating, but none of it works.  Across the mall is a single, attractive, sales clerk who Andy is too shy and awkward to talk to.  He somehow begins talking to her and that’s when the plot beings wrapping up.  I think that the best part about this movie is how well Steve Carrel and Katherine Keener (Shop keeper) work together.  You can definitely see the chemistry.  If there is anything to take away from this movie, its that its better late than never.

The 40 Year Old Virgin Best Moments

Judd Appatow’s The 40 Year Old Virgin, which hit the cinemas in 2005, is about Andy Stitzer, Steve Carrel, as a single guy, in his 40’s, nerdy, geeky, and works at an electronic store.  This hilarious film follows Andy as him and his coworkers/friends try and help him get laid. What I find funny about this film is that it is a group of adults acting like a group of kids.  Its a satire based on being a virgin in high school or college where one friend hasn’t done it yet so the rest awkwardly and relentlessly try and help them.  Whether there methods or strategies are working or not, ones things for sure.  Its embarrassing.  Here are some of the best scenes from Judd Appatow’s The 40 Year Old Virgin.

Jonah Hill

Jonah Hill was born on December 20th, 1983 in Los Angeles California.  Hill started his career with inspirations of being a writer.  He wanted to be a writer for The Simpsons or Saturday Night Live. In College, he moved to New York to study drama at The New School where he began writing and performing plays. Image result for jonah hill wolf of wall street Some of Jonah Hill’s early accomplishments were making his first role in I Heart Huckabees, and making brief appearances in The 40 Year Old Virgin and Knocked Up. In 2007, Jonah earned a staring role in the hit comedy Superbad which won him a teen choice award.  In 2011, Jonah co-starred alongside Brad Pitt in the film Moneyball which won him an scar and golden globe nomination.  In 2012, Jonah starred 21 Jump street, another comedic classic.  And in 2013, Jonah stars alongside Leonardo DiCaprio in The Wolf of Wallstreet, which in my opinion, is one of the best movies of all time.  Jonah wins another Oscar Nomination for his performance in The Wolf of Wallstreet.

Train Wreck Funniest Moments

Judd Apatows Train Wreck full of unique and comedic moments.  The films attempt to switch the gender norms around makes it very interesting, especially if you are a female.  You don’t see many goofy, funny movies like this that star a female character.  Lebron james and John Cena are hilarious in this film.  Without further ado, here are some of Train Wrecks best moments!

Train Wreck Movie Review

Judd Apatow’s “Train Wreck” hit the scenes in 2015.  Train Wreck was the first Judd Apatow movie he did not write, only direct.   There is a lot of checks and balances for Judd in this movie.  The movie is a romcom about main character Amy Schumer.  The film starts with a flashback of Amy’s father telling her and her sister that they’re mom and him are getting a divorced.  He tells them monogamy isn’t real.  These words are echoed through Amy’s head throughout the movie.  So Amy likes to party, drink alcohol, have crazy nights with her friends, and sleep with whoever she wants.  She works for a a company called “S’nuff” who writes and produces articles with majority of their audiences being men.  She gets assigned to write an article about a famous sports doctor even though she knows nothing about sports.  Aaron the sports doctor, played by Bill Hader, and Amy end up dating and falling in love unlike Amy has ever done before.  John Cena and Lebron James also make guest appearance and they are hilarious.  In my opinion, watching them act was the best part of this movie.  Both are natural actors.  If you plan on checking this movie out, check out the trailer.

Superbad Best Moments

The video quality may not be the best, but the content is golden.  Judd Apatow’s Superbad hit from 2007 is a classic comedy.  Many movies after it have tried to copy the funny, goofy, absurd style but have failed.  Superbad had the perfect balance of comedy, goofiness, and story scheme.  Jonah Hill, Michael Cera, and Christopher Mintz-Plasse are too funny in this movie.  Enjoy this clip of Judd Apatow’s Superbad best moments.

2007 Superbad Bloopers and Gag Reel

Superbad, a 2007 hit produced by Judd Apatow.  Staring actors Jonah Hill, Michael Cera, Seth Rogan, and many others.  Its funny to see these famous actors try and say ridiculous lines and fail.  You wonder how they can do it with a straight face and sometimes the truth is that they can’t.  Through the bloopers you can really see how good friends these actors are with each other.  Enjoy this 10 minute clip of Judd’s Superbad bloopers.
